The new CIGAR OASIS XL PLUS now incorporates a foam insert in the water cartridge which eliminates the need for a wick and prevents accidental spills.The water cartridge can be refilled repeatedly without replacement. Use of distilled water and mold retardant (propylene Glycol glycol) is recommended for optimum performance.
The upper control unit incorporates a unique and reliable humidity sensor, a new microprocessor loaded with features, and an LED display for reading the humidity as well as providing warnings for low water and low voltage.The three button controlled microprocessor allows the user to adjust the humidity up and down with pressure sensitive buttons.
In addition to powering the CIGAR OASIS XL PLUS from a wall outlet, you may choose to operate the humidifier from a built-in battery pack. The overall size of the CIGAR OASIS XL PLUS with battery pack is exactly the same size as the original CIGAR OASIS ( 3.5H x 2" W x 6" L w/ battery pack and 2.5" x 2" W x 6" with AC power.)
The optional battery pack ($20) comes w/ six AA batteries & snaps onto the water cartridge in the same way as the water cartridge snaps onto the control unit.
Designed for humidor enclosures up to 8 - 10 cu. ft.
NOTE: You will need to fill the bottom unit that contains the foam insert in the water cartridge with distilled water before using.
