Our tobacco fields are special - located in Villa Gonzalez "Cibao Central" (center of the cibao's valley), one of the most fertile lands in the whole island. The word "cibao" comes from the taino Indian's language which means "land of mountains". Villa Gonzalez is located at the very beginning of the highest mountain named "Diego de Ocampo". This land is maintained under the professional eyes of the Dominican Tobacco Institute, which is also located in Villa Gonzalez.

Every year the Dominican Tobacco Institute performs ground tests to ensure the fertilizers to be used are correct and they provide the farmers with supplements and professional assistance.

Our tobacco plantations are harvested every year. The quality of our tobacco is highly superior. The Dominican Republic has been divided in zones A-B-C and sub-zones. Our tobacco is grown in zones A & B. Guess what? Many major high priced tobacco plantations are located in sub-zones!!! These manufacturers use this land because the price of the land is cheaper. Not good for you or the cigar!

Our head supervisor has 30 years experience in cigar manufacturing plus an expert in the art of choosing the right tobacco - it is very hard to distinguish between well cured tobacco and those with chemicals and other unnatural ingredients.

The raw materials we use in our cigars, filler, binder and wrap is aged 4-6 years - the right time. Some manufacturers age their product 12-18 years - far too long! Such a long period of time causes the tobacco to loose its body.
