Cutting a cigar can be a problem for many novice and experienced smokers who struggle to come to find the perfect option for removing the head of the cigar, with guillotine and scissor style cutters both available to add to the many different options available.<\/p>\n<p>After you choose the cigar by the feel of the wrapper and the lack of cracks it has, you must then decide on how you\u2019re going to cut the end to allow the smoke to pass through it. In the movies, we&#8217;ve all seen cowboys tear the end off with their teeth, but this allows loose tobacco to pass through and can cause problems with having to spit out loose tobacco as the cigar\u2019s smoked.<\/p>\n<p>Technology can help, with cutters available that can allow the cigar to be cut perfectly each and every time. That brings us to these three specific types of cigar heads:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Round Head<\/em> &#8211; That should be cut just after the shoulder.<\/li>\n<li><em>Torpedo Head<\/em> &#8211; That is cut closer to the end of the cigar.<\/li>\n<li><em>Pyramid Head<\/em> &#8211; Is a more difficult to cut cigar, and should be cut just above the shoulder.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <a title=\"guillotine cutter\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thecigarstore.com\/Cigar-Accessories\/Cigar-Cutters\/Guillotine-Cigar-Cutter3.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">guillotine cutter<\/a> is always a popular option, but should be purchased in a two blade form that avoids the issue of one side of the cigar being squashed against the body of the cutter. Cigar scissors are more difficult to use, but are generally the best option once the technique has been mastered.
