The 2023 edition showcases a USA Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper, with a binder and filler made from premium Nicaraguan tobaccos. My Father Cigars was chosen by Crowned Heads for their expertise in handling broadleaf tobacco and to produce the cigars. Handmade in Nicaragua, the La Calaveras brand draws inspiration from the Mexican holiday of Day of the Dead, which celebrates life and remembers loved ones who have passed on. The cigar's unique band features four coins bearing initials of individuals who have passed away in the previous year, changing with each release.
