601 Cigars
601 Cigars was born from the partnership of Erik Espinosa and Eddie Ortega, two longtime veterans of the premium-cigar world. The brand emerged in the mid-2000s with a simple goal: create bold, Nicaraguan-forward cigars that delivered big flavor without the boutique-price markup. Early 601 releases were produced by Don Pepin García, giving the line an instant reputation for power, balance, and quality craftsmanship. As the brand grew, Espinosa took full ownership of 601 and shifted production to Nicaragua, eventually moving much of the line into AJ Fernandez’s modern San Lotano factory. This allowed 601 to expand its portfolio while maintaining the strong, pepper-driven character that smokers associate with the label. Over the years, 601 Cigars has released several now-iconic blends—Blue, Red, Black, Green, and the powerhouse La Bomba series—each offering its own take on rich Nicaraguan tobaccos. Today, 601 stands as one of Espinosa’s signature brands, known for consistency, premium construction, and a distinct flavor identity rooted in Estelí’s bold traditions.
