E.P. Carillo, the father of boutique cigars, has been producing the annual Short Run since 2010, with a brief break from 2017 to 2020. This year, he revived the line and has been introducing new blends. However, this year's release stands out in a special way. Collaborating with Oscar Valladares, a former bus driver turned influential figure in the cigar industry, Carillo has created the unique Short Run 2023. Made at Oscar's factory in Honduras, this blend features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper along with a Honduran binder and Nicaraguan and Honduran fillers - some of which were specifically sourced from Copan for this extraordinary partnership. Medium-bodied with distinct notes of baking spice, saltiness, various nuts, and a hint of earth, the Short Run 2023 is not one to miss.
