E.P. Carillo, the godfather of boutique cigars, has been crafting the Short Run annually since 2010, with a brief break from 2017 to 2020. This year's release is extra special as it marks the collaboration of Carillo and bus driver turned cigar industry power-player, Oscar Valladares. Valladares had the honor of working with Carillo on the unique blend for Short Run 2023, which is produced in his factory in Honduras. The cigar features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, Honduran binder, and a combination of Nicaraguan and Honduran fillers, some of which were specially sourced from Copan. With its distinctive flavor profile of baking spice, saltiness, nuttiness, and a hint of earth, the Short Run 2023 stands out as a medium-bodied delight.
