Handmade at La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate in Nicaragua, each 5 x 54 Robusto features a distinctive Connecticut River Valley stalk-cut and stalk-cured Habano wrapper that undergoes an extended fermentation of 30 to 36 months. Beneath it is a Brazilian Mata Fina binder surrounding Nicaraguan and Honduran filler tobaccos. The result is a dense, satisfying smoke loaded with earth, black pepper, espresso, leather, and spice, followed by a lingering caramel-like sweetness.
