Fernandez’s San Lotano factory in Nicaragua, this hefty 6 x 60 Gordo features a dark Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over a Brazilian Arapiraca binder and Nicaraguan long-fillers sourced from Estelí, Jalapa, Condega, and Ometepe. The combination produces a full-bodied smoke with layers of earth, black pepper, cocoa, leather, toasted nuts, wood, and natural sweetness. Its generous ring gauge provides a cool, slow burn, while the box press makes the cigar comfortable in hand despite its substantial size.
