La Gloria Cubana cigars boast a long history, beginning in 1885
when they were first created in Cuba. Back then, they were an
obscure Cuban brand. However, it wasn't until the early days of the
cigar boom that a Miami version became the most sought-after brand
in the US. In order to satisfy demand, production was moved to the
Dominican Republic. This year, General Cigar Co., who own La Gloria
Cubana, launched the very first Nicaraguan cigars from this
renowned brand; one designed for online and catalogue retailers and
another - Serie R Esteli - available exclusively from
brick-and-mortar cigar shops. This has proven to be one of their
best offerings yet.
