A few years ago, Montecristo's revered blending team, the Grupo de
Maestros, came to an agreement with the Plasencia family of tobacco
growers that granted them access to their most exquisite leaves.
This led to the creation of the Montecristo Espada, a cigar that
became renowned for its excellence. So successful was the original
blend, the Grupo de Maestros went back to Plasencia's stores and
crafted an even more outstanding variety: The Montecristo Espada
Oscuro. With this revised edition, the 2010 Jalapa Habano wrapper
has been replaced with a vintage Habano Rosado Oscuro.
